Broncos sign free agent Wiegmann, re-sign Sapp (AP)
The Denver Broncos signed unrestricted free agent center Casey Wiegmann to a two-year deal even though it appears he will enter camp as a backup to Tom Nalen. The Broncos also announced the re-signing of fullback Cecil Sapp. Wiegmann is a 13th-year pro who started in Kansas City for the last seven seasons.

Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday removed a paragraph in a nearly 6-month-old story that alleged secret videotaping by the Denver Broncos after coach Mike Shanahan’s attorney sent a letter to the Internet giant demanding a retraction. Yahoo! Sports editors also added a note saying the paragraph in the Sept. 13 article did not meet the site’s editorial standards, spokeswoman Nicol Addison said.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall could miss several months after undergoing surgery on his arm Saturday, according to the NFL Network.
Marshall told the Rocky Mountain News that he injured his arm while on a family vacation, and that it was just “a little cut on my arm.”
But the NFL Network reported that Marshall told the Broncos he suffered was hurt while wrestling with family members, and that he severed an artery, a vein and a nerve in his forearm along with tendons to five muscles. However, he is expected to be ready for training camp.
