Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry’s hamstring injury is healing slowly and the team doesn’t expect him to return to offseason workouts until next week. When he does get back on the field, he’ll find even more competition for snaps. The Broncos agreed to a one-year deal on Tuesday with former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Michael Pittman, agent Drew Rosenhaus told The Associated Press.
Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center Opens
Darrent Williams spent many hours at Boys and Girls Clubs when he was growing up in the Fort Worth, Texas, area.
The Denver Broncos honored the late cornerback Thursday by opening the Darrent Williams Memorial Teen Center, with a big statue of Williams in the front.
Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting that remains unsolved.
Denver mayor John Hickenlooper, Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen and Williams’ mother were among those at the ceremony, which continued past 5 p.m. on Thursday.
