Broncos bring back Peterson, cut loose Burton
Englewood, CO - The Denver Broncos tinkered with their defensive line for the second time in two weeks, re-signing defensive end Kenny Peterson and waiving defensive tackle Antwon Burton. This comes only a week after Denver cut defensive end Simeon Rice and defensive tackle Amon Gordon. Peterson served a four-game suspension without pay earlier this season for violating the NFL's steroid policy, and the Broncos cut him as soon as the suspension was over. He was cut by Green Bay last September and then signed with the Broncos. Over four seasons in the NFL, he has appeared in 37 games and has 43 tackles and three sacks. Burton has eight tackles on the season. Denver also added tight end Chad Upshaw to their practice squad.
